Common Check Valves
Lift check valve, also known as check valve, one-way valve, counter flow valve, and back pressure valve, refers to a valve that automatically opens and closes the valve disc depending on the flow of the medium itself to prevent the medium from flowing back. The check valve is a kind of an automatic valve. Its main function is to prevent the back flow of the medium, prevent the pump and the drive motor from reversing, and the discharge of the container medium.
Swing check valves are generally used on pipelines with large pipe diameters, a certain flow rate, and stable flow rate and pressure. Small-diameter forged steel check valves are generally equipped with a disc spring, while American standard large-diameter cast steel check valves are generally equipped with a pressure balance tube. The valve stem can prevent the flow of the medium in the normal direction when the medium needs to be cut off. When the medium pressure comes from the downstream, the valve stem can supplement the pressure of the pipeline to enhance the sealing performance of the valve seat backflow. The valve stem can be manually operated or driven by a driver.
The double clip check valve (or Wafer check valve) is mainly composed of valve body, valve clack, valve stem, spring and other parts, which are connected by a wafer. Due to the short closing stroke of the disc and spring loading, the phenomenon of the water hammer can be significantly reduced. Wafer check valves are mainly used in the municipal, industrial and high-rise building water supply and drainage pipe network. Their installation is easy thanks to their structure length being shorter than general check valves.
