A Elbow from Agile

Stainless Steel Elbow - the Installation Method

Stainless steel elbow plays an important role in many applications. It has a supporting and connecting role while its material can meet the needs of most users. Elbow materials are cast iron, stainless steel, carbon steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics. Agile Valve mainly produces stainless steel elbows.

The chemical composition of the stainless steel elbow will keep the elbow’s surface from rusting and corroding for a long time. As part of the pipeline system, elbow is a pipe fitting that changes the direction of the pipeline. There are three kinds of most commonly used angles when it comes to an elbow. These are 45°, 90° and 180° angles. Other angles such as 60° and other unusual elbow angles can also be used in accordance with the engineering needs.

Installation method of stainless steel elbow

  1. The bolts of the stainless steel elbow valve packing gland need to be tightened evenly and cannot be pressed into a skewed state in order to prevent damage to the valve stem from obstructing and leaking.

  2. When using a stainless steel elbow, be sure to keep it clean and the rotating thread must be regularly lubricated. If a fault is found, it needs to be stopped immediately and put into use after the cause is found out and the fault is cleared.

  3. When installing, you can install the stainless steel elbow directly on the pipeline according to the connection method, and install it according to the location of use. Under normal circumstances, it can be installed on any position of the pipeline, but due to the need to facilitate the inspection operation, note that the flow direction of the stainless steel elbow is six upwards from the bottom of the valve disc. So the stainless steel elbow can only be installed horizontally.

  4. When installing the stainless steel elbow, pay attention to its sealing performance to prevent leakage, which will affect the normal operation of the pipeline.
